VITALITY GRANOLA
I created this recipe by pure serendipity. I was craving something with chocolate (something that happens right before I have my period) but I was also looking for something that would counteract any stagnation, so I could avoid any period pain. I came up with this recipe that is not only delicious but it will support you, specially during your period, so you can gain your vitality back. It's super crunchy and full of flavour. Although simple, this recipe has a lot of benefits for the body (maybe more thank you ever though it would have :P )

Ingredients:

  • 80g unroasted buckwheat groats

  • 60g porridge oats

  • 3 Tbsp of maple syrup

  • 2 Tbsp coconut oil

  • 2 Tbsp cacao powder

  • 2 Tbsp goji powder

  • 2 Tbsp acai powder

  • 2 Tbsp of cacao nibs

  • pinch of sea salt

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 ºC fan.

  2. Place the buckwheat, oats, cacao powder, goji powder and acai powder in a bowl and mix well.

  3. Next, place a saucepan over low heat and gently heat the coconut oil with the maple syrup. Be careful not to boil.

  4. Once melted, pour into the dry ingredients and stir. Add a pinch of sea salt and make sure everything is well mixed.

  5. Finally, spread the granola over a large baking tray and make for 10 minutes. Stir and bake for more 10 - 15 minutes, to make sure it toasts evenly.

  6. Once it’s nice and crunchy, remove from the oven and leave to cool completely.

  7. Once cooled, add the cacao nibs.

  8. Store in a airtight container at room temperature. The granola will last at least 2 weeks.

Especially Good For

Anyone with nausea, vomiting, pain, abdominal distention, exhaustion, recovery after extended chronic draining illnesses, general physical lack of strength.

TIP

You can eat by the handful from the jar, with vegan yogurt in the summer, room temperate plant-based mild during spring. If the weather is cold opt to warm the milk just a little bit so it’s easy to digest.
