This is a simple and delicious recipe, that combines a popular staple dish - scrambled eggs - with an asian therapy kitchen ingredient - seaweed.
I love to have this quick and easy meal as a lunch or a dinner, when I want something nourishing but at the same time when I want to cleanse my body.

Ingredients:

  • 1 tbsp of dried wakame seaweed

  • 2 eggs

  • 1 tbsp of sesame oil or olive oil

  • a pinch of Himalayan salt

  • a pinch of black paper

Directions:

  1. Boil 1 cup of water, then add the seaweed. Let it sit for 5 minutes or until the seaweed is soft. Drain and set aside.

  2. Crack the eggs into a bowl and stir.

  3. Heat the oil in a pan, then add the eggs and the drained seaweed.

  4. Add a pinch of salt.

  5. Cook, stirring, until done.

  6. Add pepper to taste and serve


Themes and Variations

You can add fresh or dried Shiitake Mushrooms. If you use dried mushrooms, soak them for 20 minutes before cooking.

You can accompinsh with a toast or a bowl of rice. If you want to enhance the cleansing effect you can eat with a bowl of coix seeds or buckwheat.

Cleanse the body from swelling or masses (such as goiter, ovarian cysts, breast lumps, lymph node swelling), or someone who may suffer from hypothyroidism. Counteract problems such as exhaustion, weakness, fatigue and nervousness. Someone with lack of appetite. 

The iodine, manganese, iron and calcium found in wakame are vital minerals that help to balance hormones naturally.

 

TIP

Seaweed shouldn’t be consumed in excess since it contains Iodine.
